This is it, the end of an era. While I am quite excited to start my new gig at SLAC and be a real mechanical engineer, I must admit that hanging out at home all day has its perks. Don’t get me wrong—I was usually quite productive. I did laundry, bought groceries, cleaned ALL THE THINGS, did Solidworks tutorials, went to the gym, and ran other miscellaneous errands. Such as dropping Will’s car off at the shop and then biking home in the rain. That’s dedication. And yes, it does rain in California on occasion.
This is what I’ll miss most about that life:
- noon o’clock yoga classes at the gym
- sleeping in while Will wakes up to go to work
- no lines at Trader Joe’s
- pancakes for breakfast
- scrambling to make the bed minutes before Will walks in the door (what?! I mean I did it right away when I woke up, obviously)
